I joined Emerge, a ministry of my church, Evangelical Free Church of Diamond Bar (DiamondBarChurch.com) on a Sunday morning to help feed the homeless in Skid Row.

This is Tony. Never did get his last name. He started to talk to me as I was on the ground shooting. He asked, "What's this for?". I explained and we held a 20 minute conversation. We talked bout a lot of things, how he got there (homeless), politics, weather, and God. He grabbed some clothing and prayed with the rest of us. When we departed, I asked, "Hey, I need your info!", then I thought to myself, how would he have any, address, cell phone, e-mail. He answered, "I'll see you in heaven." And that's when it hit me. "Of course, heaven! I'll see you there." We both smiled and went our ways. God bless Tony.

Downtown LA....out there, somewhere..

Writer's block, artist's block, human block.....whatever you wanna call it, I am experiencing it right now. So, what do I do, go somewhere high. Somewhere nobody is, but myself and mother nature. If you can't walk away from that and feel somewhat cured...there's something wrong. Sometimes all it takes is a little walk, an open eye 'n ear, and a camera wouldn't hurt. Breathe, smile, and believe.

Spring Cleaning!

I was cleaning out my closet and found this magazine stashed away. I guess you can say it's looooong over do to blog about. Only 3 years to be exact. I shot a beautiful spring themed tablescape by Wildflower Linen at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club back in March 2008 with the help of Desiree Patterson. The flowers were by Cina of Flowers By Cina and table & chairs by Classic Party Rentals. It was published in the March 2008 issue of Style J, a Korean women's lifestyle magazine. I couldn't find them on the web and believe they are no longer in circulation. But hey, it's pretty cool!

Engaged | Lesley + Ryan

I have known Ryan Smith since I was about 6 years old. We grew up across the street from each other. And now, here I am shooting his engagement pictures. Reasons why good friendships keep connected. We had a fun afternoon at Cal Poly Pomona where Ryan went to college. Then went to the Original Farmer's Market and Los Angeles County Museum of Art. We went to dinner between shooting, at the AOC Wine Bar & Restaurant. Thank you Lesley & Ryan. Can't wait for next year!

For Japan With Love has a direct link on the website to their fundraising page for ShelterBox. ShelterBox was one of THE first organizations asked by Japan to help and were on hand on the Saturday after the quake. Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.
